White House raises refugee target to 110,000
The Obama administration will seek to accept 110,000 refugees from around the world in fiscal 2017, officials announced Wednesday.
Secretary of State John F. Kerry briefed lawmakers Tuesday on the new goal, which is an increase from 85,000 in fiscal 2016 and 70,000 in the previous three years.
