[May 3, 2015] - Shots rang out this evening at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas during the Mohammed Art Exhibit and Contest. A law enforcement officer was shot and both suspects have been killed. Officers on the scene said that it is possible that explosives are in the area.
Attendees were immediately forced into lockdown by police, including three Breitbart News reporters. Sources say event organizer Pamela Geller and keynote speaker Geert Wilders, a Dutch politician, are safe. Breitbart Texas was conducting a live video interview with Geller at the moment of the attack....
...Breitbart News: You grew up in a “moderate Muslim” family?
Bosch Fawstin: Almost all of the women in my generation were beaten by their husbands. There was strong admiration for Hitler in the household, because he killed more Jews than anyone. That’s why I refer to Hitler as Islam’s favorite infidel...
Breitbart News: Are people wrong when they refer to Islam as a religion of peace?
Bosch Fawstin: There are so many people that talk about this issue out of their ass. This is an ideology that we have to understand before we say a word. Bush (43) was talking out of his ass when he said Islam is peaceful. He has no idea what he’s talking about. His job was to protect us, not the ideology of Islam...
Breitbart News: Is there a connection between the terror attack in Garland, Texas with what is going on in the Middle East and the rest of the Islamic world?
Bosch Fawstin: Islam. Everyone’s Koran reads, ‘kill the infidel, wherever you find them.’ Whether they do or not, every Muslim’s Koran has that passage...
Breitbart News: What is the best way to defeat Islamic totalitarianism?
Bosch Fawstin: We have to start with the truth. We have to study Islam. We cannot lie about it anymore. We cannot allow the Islamists, so-called intellectuals, and leftists to lie about it anymore...
...Breitbart News: Does the Left apply a double standard when it comes to criticism of Islam and its reporting on the events that unfold in the Islamic world?
Pamela Geller: Certainly. It is a matter of policy: several years ago I wrote an article about how the Society of Professional Journalists issued guidelines after 9/11 that forbid journalists from any reportage that would associate Islam with jihad terrorism. They always report on jihad attacks as perpetrated by “militants,” “insurgents,” and the like, and do all they can to obscure the Islamic ideology and motivations of the perpetrators...
Breitbart News: What is Sharia Law? What do you mean when you allege that individuals and groups are enforcing the Sharia?
Pamela Geller: Sharia is Islamic law, considered by Muslims to be the law of Allah, and encompassing every aspect of human behavior. It forbids criticism and mockery of Islam on pain of death. Thus when Western non-Muslims say we should not draw Muhammad, they are recommending that we conform to Sharia, which Islamic supremacists wish to impose upon us...
Breitbart News: What is Islamophobia (A term often used by Islamic advocates)?
Pamela Geller: Islamophobia is a propaganda term designed to intimidate people into fearing to resist jihad terror and Islamic supremacism....
Bosch Fawstin’s world has changed dramatically less than a week after... his artwork was declared the $12,250 winner of a free-speech “draw Muhammad” contest...
Fawstin’s prize-winning work depicts a sword-wielding Muhammad declaring, “You can’t draw me.” In reply, the artist, whose hands are shown with a pencil, says, “That’s why I draw you.”...
The Defense Department’s decision to raise the threat level to “Bravo,” third highest on a scale of five, apparently was a response to the Garland attack and the threat of more “Elton Simpsons” responding to ISIS...
The Bronx-born son of immigrants from Albania, Fawstin said he left Islam as a teen then “revisited” it after 9/11...
“We are at war,” Fawstin said in response [to radio host Laura Ingraham]. “And this idea that we have to keep acting like we’re not and talk about decorum. You know, ‘We’ve got to be respectful.’ Towards what? Towards evil?”...
“This idea that we have to respect Islam is ludicrous,” he said. “Why do we have to respect Islam? Has Islam ever given us a reason to respect it? Have Muslims ever given us a reason to respect Islam?”...
...What we are faced with, then, is a belief system in which silence is the price of survival. Leaving Islam = death. Silence = submission. Submission = Islam. (Islam means not “peace,” as George W. Bush told us, but “submission.”) Such existential blackmail is as far as you can possibly get from “Americanism” in the best sense of the word...
It’s strange that the liberals in the media who always complain about Joe McCarthy once having a list of communists in government are so quick to cite the Southern Poverty Law Center’s list of so-called right-wing extremists or “haters.”
With the help of the media, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is setting people up for terrorist attacks inside the United States. Pamela Geller is the latest on the list of the SPLC that has now been targeted for death by the jihadists. ISIS says “…we will send all our Lions to achieve her slaughter.”...
...Geller said, “The idea we are going to bridge our freedom, our most basic inalienable right, in order to not offend savages is egregious. It is outrageous. This is a war and the war is here.”
She continued everyone involved in the event understands, “There’s an enemy among us. They need to crush our freedoms, our emotions. basic freedoms....”
Geller concluded, “We hear many voices in the mainstream media say the controversial conference. Listen, a free speech conference is not controversial. Shooting people is controversial. There is a moral inversion. There’s a problem here. The American people need to stand up for the basic founding principle. The principle — it’s offensive speech, it’s the first amendment. it’s not the 8th or 10th, it’s the first amendment. Who will decide who is good or what is forbidden? the Islamic State? Muslim groups?”...
...A senior FBI official has identified one of the men as Elton Simpson, who was previously the subject of a terror investigation, according to ABC News.
Simpson, identified in court papers as an American Muslim, had been convicted of lying to federal agents about his plans to travel to Somalia five years ago, but a judge ultimately ruled it could not be proved that he was heading there to join a terror group. He was placed on probation...
Since news broke of the terrorist attack in Garland, Texas Sunday evening and continuing until early this morning, the Associated Press, perhaps best nicknamed Allah's Press in instances such as these, was determined not to reveal the nature of those behind it. Two attackers were killed by police after opening fire and wounding a security officer, who, according to AP, "was treated and released from a local hospital."...
Perhaps the reason why AP was so demonstrably reluctant to acknowledge the obvious last night and this morning is that the Obama White House has yet to comment on the attacks. As of roughly 8 a.m. this morning, it was "unclear whether the president will respond to the attacks."
I guess it must be hard to report from the site of a breaking news story when you're awaiting instructions on how to react to it from your de facto bosses.
Pamela Geller returned to Garland Texas on Sunday to respond to January’s “Stand with the Prophet” jihad conclave that condemned America’s First Amendment because it allows us to tell the unpleasant truth about Islam and Mohammed. She chose the same venue in the same town to emphasize that Americans will not give up our treasured free speech because of hostile Muslims.
Unfortunately, because of Muslim immigration and other negative influences like Islam prison ministries, free speech about Islam is now a dangerous activity in America.
Former CIA operative Gary Berntsen appeared this morning on Fox News to talk about what happened, and he knew a couple people at the event. Those friends said the attackers were carrying AK-47s with drum magazines that hold a lot of ammo. Berntsen observed, “That means significant capacity to fire on a crowd. They probably weren’t there to kill one person. They were probably looking to do mass casualties. Thank goodness for the Garland Police.”
Geller was outraged with the “morally inverted view of the media”, some of whom have criticized the conference held by the American Freedom Defense Initiative as being “provocative”. Making the point that “inoffensive speech needs no protection, offensive speech needs protection”, Geller spoke with the morning hosts on Fox & Friends.
