This is 'De Facto Amnesty,' Says National Border Patrol Council
The National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) has led the charge in defense of the approximate 17,000 U.S. Border Patrol agents they represent, often with direct truths that challenge the official line from the Administration in Washington, DC. In perhaps their boldest statement to date, they have identified the main cause of our current border crisis as resulting from the “de facto amnesty" the U.S. is granting illegal immigrant [aliens].
Breitbart Texas spoke with the NBPC Local 1929 vice president, Stu Harris, on the subject and he stated, “This situation is de facto amnesty. The word has gotten out that we will simply release people into the US if enough of them come at once. The result is that they are doing it.”
“De facto amnesty is here,” he said.
Vice President Harris felt that most of the media coverage of the causes for this latest crisis that has brought waves of tens of thousands of illegal immigrants--many of them children—into the U.S. has been inaccurate. He said, “A lot of the media is saying these people are coming because of economic crisis and violence in their home countries, but these conditions have existed for more than a decade. The only thing that has changed is the talk of immigration reform and amnesty. That is what is bringing these people here now.”...
