Nationwide, nearly 120,000 Iraqis were approved for relocation to the U.S. between 2007 and April 2013, according to the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program. In 2013, 11,066 Iraqis were admitted into the country.

“I support expanding asylum programs for Iraqi Christians, as I have in the past, and look forward to working with Congressman Vargas,” he said.
