California's Republican Latinos say Trump is undoing their efforts to turn state red [via comprehensive immigration reform with a path to citizenship]
Over 20 years ago, the Republican Party in California lost a generation of Latino voters after it backed a successful ballot initiative that sought to deny undocumented immigrants access to taxpayer-funded services like non-emergency health care and public education.

And therein lies the problem. The Republican Party has aligned itself with the Open Borders Elite, and American voters (of all races and ethnicity's) are over it. What one specific ethnicity thinks is not the Voice of America.
As is stated in this article, “The protests we’re seeing have become much more violent and much more nationalistic than we have seen before.”
What is not stated is just who these violent mobs, not protester's, represent. Mexico predominately, and illegal aliens generally.
They are not the Face of America.
