Is it too late for Sweden?
Americans need only look to Europe to see the consequences of unconstrained mass immigration. Sweden is perhaps the country most transformed by unassimilable mass immigration, and its future doesn't look promising.
The late University of Chicago economist and Nobel Laureate Milton Friedman, stated that you can't have both large-scale immigration and a welfare state. Yet Sweden encourages unassimilable mass immigration, which causes migrants to become fully dependent on Sweden's generous welfare state.
Sweden is demonstrating its position as a "moral superpower' - what Garrett Hardin once called "conspicuous benevolence." Sadly, this posturing is resulting in the rapid demise of the nation.
Two recent articles reveal Sweden's the dire situation, and are worth reading to better understand how Sweden got to where it is today.

But in Sweden -- whose distinctive history of ideological conformity and self-image as a "moral superpower"... the readiness to deny unpleasant realities is even more widespread and deep-seated than in the U.K. and other Western European countries.

One fears, however, that the Swedes have waited too long to stand up for themselves and that it is -- alas -- already far too late to forestall Sweden's transformation into a sharia state.
